How To Raise DHT (The super charge of Testosterone)

Hormones is a very complex subject to talk about! There are many hormones that interfere with each other, while having different negative loops to keep homeostasis of that particular hormone. DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) is a product of a precursor testosterone, which 5%-15% of free testosterone gets converted to DHT. Of course if you have too much SHBG (Sex hormone-binding globulin) all of your testosterone will be stuck on those therefore lowering your total free testosterone, to reduce SHBG take magnesium roughly 350-400mg a day. Here is a list that inhibits the conversion of

testosterone to DHT:
1. reishi mushrooms
2. Turmeric
3. Green/White/Black Tea
4. DIM
5. saw palmetto
6. anything that is monounsaturated/polyunsaturated fats
7. cocnut oil/MCT oils (I know this one shocked me)
Here are some things that can raise DHT:
1. coffee
2. Creatine
3. Gelatin
4. Resistance training
5. Dairy based fats
6. more healthy carbs then proteins (I know this one shocked me)
7. moderate protein intake
8. good levels of vitamin D, iron, copper, zinc, and magnesium
9. get lean (lower body fat)
10. The craziest of them all... but it does work, is nicotine and just nicotine (not smoking)
